At 21 Rue Abderrahamane Eddakhil, inside the medina of Essaouira, Morocco (postcode 44000). It is a walking-distance location: the beach, the fishing port, the ramparts and the souks are all a few minutes away on foot, and cars cannot reach the door because the medina is pedestrian.

Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is at 11:30 AM. Reception is staffed 24 hours and there is no curfew, so late arrivals and early surf sessions are both fine, just tell us your arrival time in advance.

Yes, airport pickup from Essaouira-Mogador (ESU) is available on request. Send us your flight details on WhatsApp at +212 605 815 025 before you travel and we will arrange a driver.

By road it is roughly two and a half to three hours. Intercity buses run several times a day and shared or private taxis are the faster option. If you arrive by bus you will be dropped near the medina gates, a short walk from the hostel.

Eight rooms in total: three mixed dormitories with secure lockers (African, Moroccan and Music rooms), two bunk-bed rooms (Room 1 with a private bathroom, and the Berber Room with a shared bathroom), two private rooms with a double bed (Desert and Ocean) and a self-contained apartment with equipped kitchen, lounge and private terrace for longer stays.

Nightly rates change with the season, so they are shown live on our direct booking page rather than published as a fixed price. All-inclusive experience packages start at 820 MAD per person for two nights in a dorm, taxes included.

Each package bundles accommodation with one activity per day: two nights means two activities, three nights means three. Wi-Fi, rooftop terrace access and the shared equipped kitchen are included. There are three packages (Surf, Kite/Wingfoil and Moroccan Cooking), available as Solo (a dorm bed, price per person) or Duo (a private room, price shown is the total for two people). Taxes are included.

Solo, for two nights: Surf 820 MAD, Cooking 920 MAD, Kite/Wingfoil 1320 MAD per person. For three nights: Surf 1230 MAD, Cooking 1380 MAD, Kite/Wingfoil 1980 MAD. Duo prices are the total for two people: Surf and Cooking 1800 MAD for two nights and 2700 MAD for three, Kite/Wingfoil 2800 MAD for two nights and 4200 MAD for three. All prices include taxes.

Surf and kitesurf lessons for all levels with equipment included, yoga, horse riding on the beach and in the dunes, traditional Moroccan cooking classes, hammam and massage, henna by local artists, photoshoots and desert excursions. Quad and buggy rides, camel rides, guided excursions and airport transfers can be arranged on request.

At the hostel we accept cash, PayPal and bank transfer. Bookings made through the booking engine on our website are paid by card at the time of booking. Package payments are made through a secure payment link sent by the team.

Bookings are non-refundable. We state this up front rather than in small print: once a booking or a package is paid, the dates are held for you and the amount is not refunded if you cancel.

Yes. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hostel, and there is a fully equipped shared kitchen that guests are welcome to cook in, useful on longer stays. The apartment also has its own private kitchen.

The three dormitories (African, Moroccan and Music) are mixed and each has secure lockers. The Moroccan Room also has power outlets at the beds.

No. The hostel has two resident cats and does not accept guest pets.

Yes. The rooftop is open to all guests and has a 360° view over the medina rooftops and the Atlantic. It is where the free daily tea time at 6pm happens, and where community evenings and sunset gatherings are held.
